TAMA interntaional today cover 9 Countrys world wide, training Ancient Europeen Martial Art. The work to open a serious program, started, and by two Manuscripts; Tower Fechtbuch I.33, used by the Templars in the 13th Century, and the Fiore Dei Liberi, from the 15th Century, one was able to have a pensum, that included all parts of a complete Martial Art program. The name Templars Ancient Martial Art, (TAMA) was the Official name, from the first Basic sword pensum formed by the old Templars sword training. The pensum was formed as a book around 1280, in times of the Crusades.
All Martial Art Artists are welcome to start their training. No matter what style you train, the art will be of good supply for your development in your self, as the Codex of Bushido learn us. The first class of training, started in the University of Grimstad, Norway – October 2010, and today in 2012, there are 9 countrys as members, with theyr own District Commanderys and Grand Commanderys, training the same art and pensum. From the same time, the complete program was accepted as a full member of the Federations of International IBSF and EJJU. All are welcome to train the program, any style, any person and any Country. Today there are Clubs and Administration in Norway (HQ), Germany, Spain, USA, Italy, Great Britain, Australia and South Africa. In February 2012, the TAMA Councile decided to fully accept the Combat Rules of Scandinavian "Hærkamp". These rules are written in collaboration between Halsingarne, Draupnir and River Grimm Arne, and largely based upon rules that have been put on Moesgård since 1981, and Helsingborg in 2002. From 2012 - MMA as a part of the empty hand training of TAMA
In March 2012, decided TAMA that MMA should be part of the offer to all students. This came after several rendered desire for greater range of combat training. All TAMA members can therefore now, be free to offer it as part of their Martial Art Studys. MMA is a free form of combat, regardless of styles, where the instructor can decide what it is composed of. The Norwegian part of TAMA is now offering training in the compound of from Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, grapling and wrestling. This will be the peunsum for the empty hand fight along with the sword. For fights, the Unified rules of MMA is used. this will help the students to get the full foucus on all sides of combat, with or without sword, dagger, buckle and empty hands. Students that wish to go Champhionship in the art, must do this thru the rules of MMA. See more under the link MMA.
TAMA - MMA recive full accept in NMMAF under IMMAF
In March 2012 TAMA opened for having MMA training as an extra offer for students empty hand training. This came after several of the young students asked for it. TAMA then asked for membership in the Norwegian Mixed Martial Art Federation, that is a full member of the IMMAF. This was accepted, and this type of training is now open for all members of TAMA that wish to have this in pensum. Note that all students training MMA, must accept the rules of IMMAF. The sword training, with pensum of I.33 and Fiore Dei Liberi, is under the TAMA rules. We look forward to a lot of good training in MMA as well, and it is always good the learn from others styles.
